I have two resolutions for New Year’s Day, I never wake up hungover and I forget the New Year’s Resolution. My “hangover rule” has been a rule for a lot of years, even on my recent trip to Las Vegas. Don’t worry, if you woke up hung over it is okay. Remember that is my rule. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely have a good time but feeling my best as the New Year rolls in is at the top of my list.
Forget the New Year’s Resolution
Last year I sucked at going to bed early and committing to all of my workouts. I spent all of 2016 focused on my business and stuck behind my computer working towards my business goals. It paid off because I did a ton of Karma work giving back and I won #1 Canadian Fitness Instructor Specialist of the Year with canfitpro but my personal goals suffered.
New Year’s Resolutions are not my thing. I feel they set us up for failure. Instead of a New Year’s Resolution, choose simple things that you can accomplish in the next 10 Days. Then focus on another 10 days and 30 days, etc. My one focus is to be better at sleeping and getting to bed earlier so I am committed on that. Here is my #1 Tip…
Forget the New Year’s Resolution Blame
Did last year suck? This year try changing your thoughts. Get a pen and paper and write this down:
#1 Stop the Blame!
- Stop blaming everyone else!
- Your kids…
- Husband…
- The girl that has more than you…
- Your Neighbour…
- Boss…
- Your passed life…
- Stop thinking everyone else has it all…
If you want the perfect body, you have to work for it. Lots of women with a six pack and who are very lean are making serious commitments and not going out to be social. No more excuses, start working on yourself today. It’s so easy to blame everyone else but it’s time for self evaluation

What can you be better at?
