Michèle’s fitness journey did not start until she was in her fifties when she first joined a gym. This transformation is an inspiration for so many of us who feel stuck, uninspired and because it’s never too late to start. I’m so proud to have helped her along her 28 Day Shape Up Challenge journey. Michele’s success story is inspiring and I am proud to spotlight her accomplishment.
Michèle’s 28 Day Shape Up Challenge Success Story!
For many years I was able to float along without any fitness program or meal restrictions with little to no penalty. Once I reached my forties I began to see that I was going to have to work at it if I wanted to be in shape. I have never been the best at sports and didn’t like going to fitness programs. Now in my late fifties I knew I had to get serious about making a change for the better. I have been going to the gym since January 2016 and the 28 Day Shape Up Challenge looked like a perfect program to get eating right.
I ate all the meals and except for one or two things – I enjoyed all the meals and shakes. The soups were awesome and I have made those since completing the 28 Day Shape Up Challenge. The introduction to various fruits and vegetables was beneficial and has opened many new doors as far as meal planning ideas and the helpful tips regarding food combinations and spice purposes was enlightening. I now notice that my stomach feels uncomfortable when I eat processed foods and try to steer clear of as many as I can. I have continued to incorporate many of the items from the cook book into my daily meal planning.
I have been complimented on how I look by many people both during and after the challenge . I have gone down two sizes and feel much better. Overall I feel much better health-wise. I have more stamina at the gym and am more flexible in some of the required moves in yoga and core work.
