Lazy mornings? Hit the ground running?  Here is a simple rise and shine morning workout routine that you can do anytime and anywhere. My entire life I’ve been called the “energizer bunny” because I hit the ground running with everything I do. It used to be morning to night.  I am changing that but it’s freaking hard!  Our comfy beds whisper “stay here, it’s so cozy .Slow your mornings down and wake 15 minutes earlier and try gentle movement, stretch and mindset.  During this pandemic, our routines have been hit hard.

  • Aim for 5-10 minutes  for a morning workout before starting your day
  • Hold each for 30-60 sec
  • Seated Bow forward
  • Gentle neck stretch
  • Repeat

I love an incredible workout, especially weights, HIIT and Tabata.  You don’t always need to crush your body to get a good workout though. If the morning workout is too slow for you, add a little Strength Slow Flow workout. Slow it down champ. Bookmark this for later.

  • Start with 10 reps of each for 3-5 rounds
  • Plie squat with bicep curls
  • Plie squat with shoulder press

I have many clients that skip breakfast and it’s the worst thing you can do for your body.  You need to “break the fast” in your body and that’s why it’s called breakfast.  It is so much easier if you decide what is for breakfast the night before.  Prep your morning routine the night before, read more here.  Here are a few simple things that I do or reach for when I wake up:

Clean up your morning routine one step at a time.  Start with a morning workout that is gentle.  10 minutes of movement is all you need to rev your body up.
