Routines and rituals are what help you succeed.  Planning our 11 Year Anniversary Boot Camp class for Food4Kids charity on Thursday, June 7 is a TON of work but so rewarding.  If I’m not careful, I will end up exhausted, skipping meals and workouts.  Giving back is very important to me and while managing high stress, routines and rituals are a must. Stress makes us fat and sick so it’s important to manage your time like a tiger protects her baby cub to lower stress.

How to Manage Time Routines & Rituals

Mornings are crazy in my house with 3 kids and two parents getting ready for work.  I start my morning with my morning routine, Lemon Cayenne Ginger water and a great breakfast.  Here are tips to help you manage time, feel less overwhelmed and make yourself a priority.  If you are sick of being overwhelmed, run down, you hit the ground running and your not getting enough done, try these Tidbits:
  1. Be mindful of time suckers and become fiercely protective of your time.  What’s most important today?
  2. Make a priority statement noting exactly what is most important to you and make it visible daily
  3. Stop wasting time on what someone else can do
  4. Delegate or hire more help if you need it.  My dear friend Nicola Jones told me “don’t do for your kids what they can do for themselves”
  5. List your Daily Top 3 priorities that must get done
  6. Map out your time on a calendar and see exactly how you are spending your time on, read this
  7. Use a daily calendar or digital (personally I use both)
  8. Start your day the night before with my morning routine
  9. Don’t get on your phone until your morning routine is complete
If you have trouble focusing, you have ADD or you find yourself all over the place these tips will help.  Watch this video:

I got a new fitness toy for my home studio and this workout I designed kicked our butts! Watch the video for an amazing pushing and pulling exercise I created to balance all of the boxing. I was sweating everywhere.  I’m seriously considering bringing one of these Century Bags into our Boot Camp and Stroller Classes.  I bought it at Hamilton Fitness Solutions.
