Alison is one of our Stroller Fitness Members that joined our 28 Day Shape Up Challenge and lost 11 pounds. We are proud that she has continued to keep it off and then some. Most of us don’t realize that we are mindless snacking and eating, drinking our calories, saying we don’t have time or money to take care of ourselves but if we would just commit, get a certified Coach to help you through, we could put all of those excuses to rest.

Meet Alison | Stroller Fitness, 28 Days | Results Driven
“If you want results, go to Fit4Females”. My sister-in-law definitely had me at “results”. As a busy mother of 2, I need to use my time wisely. I started off with Fit4Females by attending Stroller Fit when my daughter was 6 weeks. I loved (and continue to love) the workouts. Such efficient use of my time! I had a Post Natal Assessment with Trina and she found a diastasis so I began my “get healthy” journey by working out using modifications. Trina recommended a physiotherapist who I worked with for 3 months. My diastasis is now “functional” and I am cleared for working out without modifications. With my son, I hadn’t even heard of the term diastasis so I just jumped back into working out.
I wish, I wish, I wish I had met Trina back then. When I tell people I’m doing Stroller Fitness, most assume it is an easy work-out. This couldn’t be farther from the truth, it’s challenging, no matter what point you are at in your postpartum recovery and beyond.

28 Day Shape Up Challenge
Stroller Fitness twice a week was working well and I was losing body fat and gaining muscle but I was not fuelling my body in a healthy way. I was missing such an important part of feeling and looking great. This is where the 28 Day Shape Up Biggest Loser Challenge came in. The weight was starting to be a little stubborn coming off and I soon found out why. Trina said about 80% of being healthy was related to what we put into our bodies. The 28 Day Shape Up provided an easy to follow recipe and eating guide that reacquainted me with what proper fuel can do for mood, energy levels and fitness performance. I am a 2 time Ironman triathlete and when training, nutrition was just as important as my workouts. I actually enjoy being disciplined, sticking to a plan and seeing results.
It was like the challenge was designed for me!
The 28 Day Challenge showed me that no matter what I’m doing in my life, eating well is key to making it all better. Following the eating and workout plans provided by Trina for the 28 Day Shape Up led me to lose 11 pounds! My energy went way up. I felt great running again and was faster. I was able to give so much more to the workouts (which are awesome – all around 30 minutes and challenging).
The 28 Day Shape Up Biggest Loser Challenge is exactly what I needed at a stressful time in my life. I was amidst the chaos of moving, my daughter was getting her first teeth and I wasn’t sleeping much. This Challenge helped me realize that putting the time into eating well was worth it. I felt so much better than if I wasn’t sleeping, stressing about moving and eating crap.
Results from my 28 Days
On the challenge I learned some things about myself:
- I finish my son’s food (mindlessly)
- I had a lot of excuses when it came to not eating well (my husband’s fault, no time)
- Planning and preparation are vital
- I was snacking after dinner more out of habit than hunger
- I was not putting myself first
Trina does not sugar coat, she is no nonsense and she does not waste your time. I think everyone should do the 28 Day Shape Up. It’s like a reboot. It was hard at first but I persevered. I knew that it was hard because I really needed to be cleaning up my eating habits.
