The diet industry is worth billions of dollars. Try my easy “no stress meal prep” tidbits for better health instead of dieting. Grab my recipe book Trina’s Kitchen: Healthy Food Made Easy here. It is a total system with breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. This is how I stay fit and keep my family healthy.
Simplify Cooking and Meal Prep
These struggles are from women in my Group Coaching Program so I’m dishing out my no stress meal prep tidbits. Does this sound familiar?
- “Cooking feels so intimidating – I never know where to start!”
- “Meal planning feels overwhelming, and tracking my meals feels like just another chore.”
- “I never know what to make, so I end up eating the same things (or grabbing takeout).”
You’re not alone. These struggles are so common among women juggling busy lives. Let’s break it down and take the stress out of cooking.
1) Simplify your Approach with Health Food Made Easy
I have been a certified Coach and Fitness and Health expert for almost 26 years. This is what works with my clients and myself.
Start with just ONE meal. For example, focus on creating a go-to-breakfast for the week:
- Try Banana Chia Oat Jars.
- A smoothie packed with greens, proteins and health fats, try my Blueberry Smoothie.
- A quick Egg or Tofu Scramble.
- Check out a ton of gluten and dairy free recipes in Trina’s Kitchen: Healthy Food Made Easy here.

2) Embrace Meal Repeats
It’s okay to eat similar meals a few times a week! I love to batch cook staples like grilled chicken, eggs, tofu, rice, roasted and raw vegetables, hummus, bean dip and mix and match them for variety. Have eggs for dinner and chili for breakfast. Break the rules and remember “no stress meal prep.”

3) Keep Recipes Simple
Choose recipes with 10 ingredients or less. My book, Trina’s Kitchen: Healthy Food Made Easy here is just that. The book is one page recipes with a photo for each and are packed with simple, gluten-free, mostly plant-based recipes to get you started. Here is a sample recipe from my book.

4) No Pressure to Track Everything
If logging or tracking meals feels overwhelming, start small. Jot down how you feel after meals instead of calories. Are you energized? Bloated? Too full? This helps you notice patters and make healthier choices without the stress.
5) Plan, Don’t Overthink
Use a “meal formula” like:
- PCFF: Protein, Carbs, Fat and Fibre for meals. Is there some of each in your food. If not add on to it.
- For examples, chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, avocado and roasted broccoli (I use frozen broccoli so it’s easy and I batch bake it in the oven.)

Trina’s Tidbits:
Your got this. The key is to start small, stay consistent, focus on progress and not perfection. That’s what you get when you hire me as a Coach and Trainer. Thanks for reading and having an interest in your health. I look forward to supporting you on your journey. Trina Medves xo
