Today’s Member spotlight shines on Lauren. Although she may seem quiet and focused in Cardio Boot Camp, she is strong, fierce and has a huge heart. She has come back from an injury, rehabbed and we love having that big smile and her hard work in class. Lauren has been working hard at Fit4Females as a long time member and we want to say congrats on getting married soon! Here is a little inspiration from her.

Tell us why you joined Fit4Females?
I was an athlete, and seemingly lost my identity after an injury sidelined me from the sport. After extensive rehab I realized I would never play at the same competitive level again but I was determined to remain active – so I joined a gym. Following many ups and downs and “I will start again on Monday” I recognized the gym wasn’t for me. I couldn’t motivate myself the same way I could when I was a part of a team. Fit4Females has become my team. I joined Fit4Females so that I could find myself again and rediscover the athlete in me (…and because my wedding was about a year away)
What thoughts did you have before joining Fit4Females?
I was frustrated and really questioning my own ability to really make fitness part of my lifestyle. I was finding it very difficult no longer having a clear goal or competition to work towards.
Tell us about your first Fit4Females workout
I thought F4F would just be another one of my “fitness fads”, but after the first class I was hooked! I was sweaty, I was out of breath, and I was feeling strong!
Why do you love Fit4Females and the Team Leaders?
I love working out with other powerful women! I really enjoy the sense of comradery and the relationships you make with the other members. The Team Leaders are bar none! They are incredibly motivating, lead kickass (can I say that?) workouts, and are invested in you and your progress.
What improvements have you made since joining Fit4Females?
I have seen improvements both mentally and physically. Above and beyond the cardiovascular and strength grains I have made, I now love working out again, I found the athlete in me, and fitness has really become a part of my lifestyle.
Any encouraging advice you can share with our Readers?
Take a leap of faith and try F4F – you owe it to yourself.
