It’s time that we acknowledge that too many of us ladies are walking around daily in stress overload. Ladies, why are we killing ourselves trying to do everything for everyone and completely forgetting about ourselves. We rob our lives of “me” time, our dreams, health, desires, we are eating and drinking our feelings, we are unhappy because we feel guilty about taking time out for ourselves and we keep saying “tomorrow or once things slow down” but it rarely does.
Stress: Ladies, why are we killing ourselves?
I reluctantly went on a family vacation where I shut down from all technology. I say “reluctantly” because my husband practically forced me out of the country (he knows me oh so well!) He had been asking for months to get away but I kept saying “I’m too busy” and truthfully I am. We have three kids, I run a business, he works out of town and life is not slowing down anytime soon. Aren’t we all though? We fill our days with too many “to do’s and I definitely do this to myself”. Sound familiar?
Replace I’m too busy with it’s not important
Part of what I coach my clients is to replace “I’m too busy with it’s not important”. I was telling myself that time away for me was not important. Not all of us have the luxury of getting away but with a little practice, you can do it right here at home.
