Baby Jack is a miraculous little survivor. He has had two successful open heart surgeries to fix his little heart. Please join Fit4Females on February 27, 2013 for a Karma Stroller Fitness Class for Rare Disease Day to celebrate this amazing little boy.

Baby Jack is a Fighter!

Baby Jack’s Story

Jack was born on June 12, 2012 with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) called Transposition of the Great Arteries (d-TGA) In TGA, the “great” arteries are reversed in their origins from the heart, with the aorta connected to the right ventricle, and the pulmonary artery connected to the left ventricle-exactly the opposite of the normal heart’s anatomy. With these arteries reversed, oxygen-poor (blue) blood returns back to the body and oxygen-rich (red) blood gets pumped back to the lungs – the opposite of the way blood normally circulates. The oxygen-poor (blue) blood cannot meet the body’s demand, and this situation cannot support life.

Jack has had two successful open heart surgeries to fix his little heart and is doing amazing. Throughout our journey at SickKids hospital we met many amazing people and this experience has forever changed our lives. However, there are many babies and children who are still fighting everyday and this is why we need your help to help Jack give back to The Labatt Family Heart Centre at SickKids.

Last year we dedicated our Karma Class to Baby Philip who suffers from a rare blood disorder called Mastocytosis.

How Can You Help Baby Jack?

Join our Special Stroller Fitness “Baby Jack” Class for Rare Disease Day. We want you to attend, donate and spread the word.

When: Stroller Boot Camp class Wednesday February 27th at 9:30am

Where: Dofasco Park Recreation Centre – GYM

Cost: minimum $10 Karma donation * all proceeds to be donated to “Jack Gives Back” (Labatt Family Heart Centre at SickKids)

Prizes: Lots of prize so bring your toonies *Raffle tickets will be $2 each or 3 for $5

What to Bring: A yoga mat, water, spare change for the raffle and fresh fruit only as snacks for your little ones. *No other snacks are permitted.

New to Class: Please arrive at 9:15am *Download Registration forms

Who can come: Anyone and everyone, with or without a little one
