I have been teaching group fitness for 17 years and Valene is one of the reasons why I do what I do.  I could make a full time job out of personal training but I get the most satisfaction being able to  touch a room full of lives all at once.  I love that I have created a safe place for Moms to bring their little ones with them so they can make themselves a priority.

Valene came to us with a diastatis recti and with the Trina’s modifications and rehab moves, working with our favourite Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist and patience, she was able to heal herself properly! It’s not a race ladies, take time and come to us, we know what we are doing.

Tell us why you joined Fit4Females?

I started researching fitness groups catered to moms with babies and Fit4Females was the one that kept popping up, so I decided to check it out and I liked what I read on their website bookmarking the site.  What cemented my decision was when a fellow co-worker joined and told me more about it.  I decided this was it; this is how I can get back to being in shape after baby.

What thoughts did you have before joining Fit4Females?

Child care would be an issue and I am not a person who does well with at home workout programs as I easily become distracted.  I needed to be able to get out of the house and interact with other moms, while getting fit.

Tell us about your first Fit4Females workout

I died!  It was challenging, even with the modifications due to my diastasis and lack of fitness but I loved it!

Why do you love Fit4Females and the Team Leaders? 

Their presence alone is inspiring.  They are your personal cheerleaders, and they help to push you so you get the most out of your workout without injury.  They are also moms just like me but they still find time to take care of themselves, they get it done period.  No excuses.

What improvements have you made since joining Fit4Females?

Since joining my 4 finger diastasis has closed up, I have more energy, and I have lost a few pounds.   Most of all I feel motivated to becoming a better version of myself, while leading a healthful lifestyle.

Any encouraging advice you can share with our Readers?

It may seem hard and you may be discouraged (I know I was) but when you are surrounded by people who are driven no matter what, you become inspired and they have a better outlook on life. Give Fit4Females a try, it will change your mind and your life.  I am proof of that and I am still on my journey.
