Tell us why you joined Fit4Females?
I joined Fit4Females because I was in Trina’s Boot Camp classes before and knew how amazing she was and how fantastic the workouts were.
After having a very stressful pregnancy and first month with my son, living in the hospital, I knew once we were home that I needed something to keep me busy and to return me to the happy, positive person I was. Fit4Females was EXACTLY what I needed.
What thoughts did you have before joining Fit4Females?
Before joining I was very down on myself since I had gained 50 pounds during my pregnancy and with a starting weight of 112 lbs., I felt as though I was never going to get back to how I looked before.
Tell us about your first Fit4Females workout
My first Stroller Fit class was a huge eye-opener. It was of course an amazing workout where I was sweating, out of breath and felt like I couldn’t move. But more than that Trina was amazing! I remember her telling me that I had a diastasis and that I wouldn’t get my body back overnight but that it was okay and normal.
Having a diastasis meant I had a lot of limitations for a few months and as frustrating as it was, I listened to Trina and did the modified moves she gave me.
I remember feeling like I could do the same as the other girls but Trina kept telling me to wait, and am I ever glad I did. Within a few months my diastasis was gone and I was really noticing the weight coming off as well as muscles I’d never had before appear!
Why do you love Fit4Females and the Team Leaders?
There are so many reasons why Trina and all the Leaders are so amazing, the main reason I LOVE Trina is because she gets to know you personally.
My son has a very rare heart condition (he is doing fantastic now) and during my assessment with Trina I felt comfortable enough to tell her everything and she took the time to sit with me and understand what my pregnancy was like and why I so badly needed to get back into the right frame of mind.
Classes Twice a week
I started going to classes twice a week and I can honestly say that Trina is the reason that I didn’t get into a depression about my body.
I remember her telling me that my body will never be exactly the same but that is not something to be upset about, that it is a beautiful thing and that overtime she will help me to love myself again.
Amazing Team Leaders
Trina and the Team Leaders are amazing. Now at 10 months postpartum I weigh less than I did before I got pregnant, I have actual muscle and I am in better shape than I have ever been. Every class is a new workout and they constantly push and motivate me to do more, especially now that I can handle the intensity. I could NOT imagine not having chosen Fit4Females after having my son.
What improvements have you made since joining Fit4Females?
I am eating much healthier, from morning protein shakes to healthy dinners, I find I feel great after each workout and am motivated to keep it going at home.
Joining gave me a reason to leave the house twice a week, as a busy first time mom trying to figure everything out it helped me realize that although it might have been my sons nap time or whatever the case, I had to make time for me.
This was so important and helped me relax a bit with the little details of trying to schedule my new life. Within two weeks of starting Fit4Females I loved the workouts so much that I began getting dressed into my workout clothes every morning and during my sons first nap doing a bit of exercise to get the day started.
Any encouraging advice you can share with our Readers?
To any new mom reading this… JOIN FIT4FEMALES! I can honestly say that it is something I look forward to every week. I never liked working out or going to the gym, my body was fine before I got pregnant and I never really felt motivated enough.
After having my son and wanting to lose my baby weight I became very motivated, and after 6 months when I reached my goals, and now after 10 months I hate to miss a class and love going twice a week.
It is no longer is about losing weight, it’s about gaining muscle, confidence, seeing my new mom friends, and of course parachute time for my son. It’s an amazing group to be a part of and I would recommend at least checking it out to ANY new mom wanting to feel better about herself!
