I decided that I want to clear my skin, mind and do a gentle cleanse. Day 1 of my healthy elimination detox and orange blast smoothie to the rescue. I am challenging you to the same. Let go of something that is not benefiting you or your health, that is not feeding and nourishing you and replace it with something that will fuel, energize and make you filled with life. Don’t go gang busters, start small and eliminate more and more each time you are feeling stronger.

10 Rules of a Healthy Detox
- Lots of water with lemon
- Juice does not replace a meal
- Lots of sleep
- Be active but don’t train hard core while you are cleaning out your system *get outdoors every day
- Keep a journal

- Eat lots of veggies, they are great for antioxidants, low in calories, full of fibre, hydration, skin, hair, nails, they keep you full and keep your liver and waist line happy
- Be smart about it. Don’t do it when there is lots of chaos going on and you can’t commit
- Make a list of why you need to eliminate whatever unhealthy things you choose
- Commit, recommit, remind yourself and find a support system because nothing is easy but it’s worth it
Recipe: Day 1 Detox Orange Blast Smoothie
Day 1 Detox Orange Blast Smoothie
What you need
2 large carrots
1 whole zucchini
one small clementine or orange
1 apple
2 celery stalks
1 tsp of Turmeric
1 cup of water depending on the consistency you like
This made 2 servings, be sure to fill them all the way to the top and store in a mason jar if not drinking right away. Drink within 12 hours in order to receive all of the nutrition benefits.

Repeat this as many times as you can in 6 minutes, otherwise do 4 sets – whatever you can fit in. Quick, efficient and it doesn’t cost a penny! Always remember to warm up first and stretch after. Take is slow and steady if you are new.
