I love this chocolate energy smoothie because it’s quick, full of healthy goodness and it gives you the boost of energy you need.
I’ve been on a journey to reduce the amount of Protein Powder that I consume and in search of more natural sources. If you are looking for a clean powder read this Protein: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
Chocolate Energy Smoothie
Prep time: 5 min
- 2 cups of Coconut milk
- 2 tbsp of Hemp hearts
- 1 tbsp of Chia seeds
- 1/8 cup of Pumpkin seeds
- Two Dates
- One Banana (frozen if you like it cold)
- 1 tbsp of Cocoa powder
- Add liquid to blender first
- Add all other ingredients in order
- Blend and enjoy!
This Chocolate Energy Smoothie makes two servings full mason jars approximately 300 calories each. I drank both jars in one sitting but I don’t count calories. I tracked it on myfitnesspal because I know people like to know. Happy smoothie tasting let me know what you think. The Coconut milk says 1 cup but that’s the nutrition value for 2 cups (i.e.: 45 cal / cup).
