I’ve been showing up on Facebook Live delivering recipes, fitness tips and everything to do with getting you in your best shape and self possible.  If you haven’t liked the Facebook Fan Page, please join me.  As a Mom of three I get busy and smoothies are my grab and go healthy meal.  I love this chocolate energy smoothie because it’s quick, full of healthy goodness and it gives you the boost of energy you need.

I’ve been on a journey to reduce the amount of Protein Powder that I consume and in search of more natural sources.  If you are looking for a clean powder read this Protein: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Chocolate Energy Smoothie

Prep time: 5 min

INGREDIENTS

Chocolate-Energy-Smoothie-Recipe

  • 2 cups of Coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp of Hemp hearts
  • 1 tbsp of Chia seeds
  • 1/8 cup of Pumpkin seeds
  • Two Dates
  • One Banana (frozen if you like it cold)
  • 1 tbsp of Cocoa powder

DIRECTIONS

  • Add liquid to blender first
  • Add all other ingredients in order
  • Blend and enjoy!

This Chocolate Energy Smoothie makes two servings full mason jars approximately 300 calories each.  I drank both jars in one sitting but I don’t count calories.  I tracked it on myfitnesspal because I know people like to know.  Happy smoothie tasting let me know what you think.  The Coconut milk says 1 cup but that’s the nutrition value for 2 cups (i.e.: 45 cal / cup).
