Michelle is a labour and delivery nurse and understands the importance of a supportive group class offering modifications while keeping you injury free. Tell us why you joined Fit4Females
I joined F4F because I was getting bored at the gym, I found the classes too repetitive and the atmosphere cold. I love how much support and love I get with all the mom’s at Stroller Fitness and Boot Camp. I love that none of Trina’s classes are the same! She mixes it up to combine boxing, Tabata timing, lifting weights and cardio there is so much variety I won’t get bored!
I have been struggling with a wrist injury for the last year and unfortunately can’t do some exercises, but Trina is always modifying the moves for me so I get a kick butt work out and she is always watching me to make sure my form is appropriate so I don’t get hurt! I loved working out and now that I’m getting older I’m finding I just can’t go to the gym and get the same results.
I started Trina’s online 28 Day Shape Up Program to help me get on track with my diet (I gained 10lbs over Christmas with over-indulging) and I just needed help planning healthy meals. My children keep me busy with AA hockey and competitive gymnastics so I needed better organization at meal times since we are always on the road, my favourite part of the program is she holds me accountable and I don’t want to let her or my F4F ladies down! Thanks for continually pushing me to be my best!
Tell us about your first Fit4Females workout and what made you stick with us
What made me stick is that I love how intimate the classes felt… I wasn’t just a number, everyone makes you feel welcome and important!
Why do you love Fit4Females and the Team Leaders?
I love how all the Instructors love what they do! They are all passionate about health and fitness! You can tell they love their job!
What has Fit4Females done to go above and beyond?
Trina has arranged a couple of girls nights, and an amazing seminar in Toronto with Jully Black! She has a relationship with all of her clients and wants them to be successful outside of the gym also!
What has been your biggest non-scale win since joining Fit4Females?
I’ve been dealing with a wrist injury for the past year and I took some time away from exercising because I was frustrated that I couldn’t do everything. Being at F4F, I don’t need to take breaks because Trina has taught me it is ok to modify my work out, and not to be so hard on myself for not being able to everything. My mental game has really stepped up!
Any encouraging advice you can share with our Readers that are not putting themselves first or nervous to join?
Take the plunge! 2017 is a new year, make it your year….. Everyone is so encouraging and supportive you will feel right at home! The first class is free so you have nothing to lose!
Anything else you would love to share?
Work at your own pace, Trina always gives modifications and makes sure everyone is doing proper technique…. I’ve learned so much!
