A perfect Black Bean dip recipe to replace the traditional “Nacho cream cheese” version. Chips are my weakness and I love me some Nachos and dip but I have to avoid dairy at all costs. This is a great alternative with some extra protein. Try it hot as an alternative to ground beef when it’s Taco night. Tidbit: Beans make you fart but they don’t make it smell. Just needed to address that!. Smelly toots come from meat, dairy and eggs so eat up your beans. Try this with a little Guacamole. Easy Black Bean Dip Recipe
Hummus is a favourite dip for many, but sometimes it is nice to switch it up. This black bean dip is equally delicious and goes great with raw veggies, organic corn chips or crackers. It takes less than 5 minutes to whip up which is a bonus.
Ingredients:
- 2 cans of black beans, BPA free can *preferably unsalted
- Juice and zest of 1 lime
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- Pinch of cayenne
- 2 cloves of fresh garlic
- 3 tablespoon of olive or avocado oil
- A few tbsp filtered water to thin out
How to Make:
- First combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor *smash with a potato masher if you want to build your biceps
- Second, blend until smooth adding water until you reach your desired consistency
- Adjust seasonings to taste and pour into a bowl or container
- Top with cilantro, green onions and 1 tablespoon more of oil
- Can be stored in the fridge for 4-5 days
- Top with a little Guacamole
