Smoothies get a lot of nutrients in quickly so I had to share this Berry Green Smoothie recipe from my 28 Day Shape Up Challenge.  What you put in your body has a direct effect on your mood, muscles, productivity, hormones, skin, muscles, sleep, recovery, aging and everything else imaginable.

The old me was a frequent drive thru visitor. My morning used to consist of a double double coffee and an egg breakfast sandwich from Tim Horton’s!  It costed me, time, money, health and a bunch of sensitivities that I didn’t know I had.  Here is a great alternative and no sacrifice on taste.

Berry Green Breakfast Protein Smoothie

Berry Green Breakfast Protein smoothie filled with goodness from my 28 Day Shape Up Challenge.

Ingredients: 2 servings

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups any plant based milk
  • 1 cup mixed frozen berries *I used the Costco pomegranate mix
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2-3 cups fresh greens of your choice: I used spinach
  • 2 tbsp organic chia seeds
  • Optional:  2 scoops clean Vanilla Protein Powder, this is the protein powder I use
  • 3 ice cubes
